Though there are many, many Arma 3 mod sites, I’ve never really strayed outside of the Steam Workshop. I also love how something as big and as detailed as Arma 3 isn’t enough for the community, which added ridiculous realism into the game like ammo in burning vehicles going off. That’s here, in mission and campaign form. I don’t usually add new factions to play with, as my knowledge of war is minimal, and I don’t have a favourite side to play as.īut I do wish Arma 3 had engaging, dynamic scenarios where the game’s sandbox generates a personal war. My interests generally lie in making the game more exciting and more dynamic. This is, in some way, a skeleton of a list. Others agree, which is why there are 89,000 mods on the Arma 3 Steam Workshop. Even with all the DLC, it’s still more of a sandbox for you to fill and play, but that’s what it was built to do. Q: Can I play this mod with a pirated version of the game?Ī: No, this mod still uses the official co-op servers for online play.As an on-off Arma 3 fan (250 hours seems like nothing in the Arma scheme of things), I generally find the base game not much of a game. I don't plan out adding new stuff, it just happens as I discover more things about the game. You can liberate outposts, fight enemies, drive vehicles, and not much else.Ī: Nope. Loading specific mission NPC's, objects, and sequences IS possible, but fixing all of the issues that would bring is simply not feasible. This is not entirely possible with the tools available. I thought this was obvious, but I can see why there could be some confusion.Ī: No. Hence, you need to select co-op mode from the menu and change the map to either "ROOK ISLANDS" (English) or "fc3_main".
What this means is when the mod is installed, you cannot play single player. The mod is more accurately described as being able to play the single player MAP in the existing co-op mode. Game crashes when I try to load the saved game Infinite loading time for a new campaign I then tried to install 1.3 MOD version and had the same exatc problems: I've then tryed the Single player campaign and the loading took around 4 seconds. Uplay let me "check files" of Far Cry after the mod and restored the installation. The real problem is that when I try to star a new single player game the loading page goes on forever. So there is no way to understand ho to play the single player game in coop mode. Daddyguitar wrote: The menu looks exactly the same as the non modded game.
